Audio Art Festival 2019

Audio Art Festival to eksperymentalna i postmodernistyczna sztuka przełomu wieków, będąca integracją sztuk wizualnych z dźwiękowymi.

W ramach festiwalu odbywają się koncerty, performanse i instalacje, które bazują na nowej koncepcji źródła dźwięku: obiektu i instrumentu muzycznego istniejących w określonej przestrzeni i czasie. Jest to sztuka personalna – kompozytor, konstruktor i wykonawca unifikują cały proces tworzenia i wykonania dzieła.

Festiwal Audio Art prezentuje artystów z całego świata oraz ich premierowe projekty.

W Bunkrze Sztuki zaprezentowane zostaną instalacja Edwina van der Heidego Shifting Noise Planes i praca wideo Jana-Petera E.R. Sonntaga BOO84.

Otwarciu festiwalu towarzyszy koncert Tuba, mirum spargens sonum, który odbędzie się 15 listopada, w piątek, o godzinie 18. Wykonanie: Edwin van der Heide i Jan-Peter E.R. Sonntag. Na otwarcie i koncert wstęp wolny.

Edwin van der Heide
Artysta, kompozytor i badacz obszarów dźwięku, przestrzeni i interakcji. Kompozycje muzyczne i język muzyki rozciąga w kierunku przestrzenności, interaktywności i interdyscyplinarności. Jego prace obejmują instalacje, performanse, environments. Widownia trafia w środek pracy i stoi przed wyzwaniem aktywnego odkrywania dzieła, reagowania z nim i odniesienia się do niego.

Jan-Peter E.R. Sonntag
Urodzony w 1965 w Lubece. Artysta i kompozytor. W latach 1986-1998 studiował sztukę, historię sztuki, muzykę, literaturę niemiecką, socjologię i filozofię (estetykę). W 1989 spotkał niemieckiego artystę Franza Erharda Walthera, co dało początek wspólnym performansom. W latach 1993-1995 doradca artystyczny fundacji Stiftung Weimarer Klassik w dziedzinie sztuki i muzyki eksperymentalnej powiązanej ze współczesnymi badaniami nad Nietzschem. Od 1990 tworzy interaktywne instalacje site-specific na temat postrzegania światła i dźwięku, a od 1995 prace nad punktami styczności ludzkiego ciała oraz systemów techniczno-medialnych prezentowane w kontekście „białego sześcianu”. Mieszkał w Oldenburgu, Barcelonie, obecnie w Berlinie.

Audio Art is an experimental and postmodernist art of the close of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century, which integrates sound and visual arts.

Audio Art presentations appear in the form of the concert, performance and installation stemming from a new concept of sound source: as an object and musical instrument that exist in a particular space and time. Audio Art is a “one-person art”: composer, designer and performer unify the whole process of art creation and performance.

Audio Art Festival presents individual artists from all over the world and the projects they launch.

At the Bunkier Sztuki Gallery, Audio Art Festival will present Edwin van der Heide’s installation Shifting Noise Planes and Jan-Peter E.R. Sonntag’s video work BOO84.

As the festival opens, the concert Tuba, Mirum Spargens Sonum will add to it, taking place on 15 November, Friday, at 6 pm. Performed by Edwin van der Heide and Jan-Peter E.R. Sonntag. Free entry to the concert.

Edwin van der Heide
Edwin van der Heide is an artist, composer and researcher in the field of sound, space and interaction. He extends musical composition and musical language into spatial, interactive and interdisciplinary directions. His work comprises installations, performances and environments. The audience is placed in the middle of the work and challenged to actively explore, interact and relate themselves to the artwork.

Jan-Peter E.R. Sonntag
Born 1965 in Lübeck. Artist and composer. 1986–1998 studies of Art, Art History, Music, German Literature, Sociology and Philosophy (Aesthetics). 1989 first meeting with the German artist Franz Erhard Walther followed by collaborative performances. 1993–1995 Artistic Advisor, Stiftung Weimarer Klassik for experimental art and music in a dialogue with the current research on Nietzsche. Since 1990 he creates site-specific, interactive installations on perception of light and sound. Since 1995 work on the interface of the human body and technical/medial systems, presented in the context of the “white cube”. Lived in Oldenburg, Barcelona, lives in Berlin.
