International Online Conference on RENEWABLE MUSIC
15–17 października 2024/ online

Organised by the Polish Composers’ Union in collaboration with partners from the Visegrad Group, the INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC CONFERENCE ON RENEWABLE MUSIC will be held FULLY ONLINE on 15-17 October 2024. Participation in the conference is FREE, registration opens on 1st October 2024.
With 2 keynotes, 8 sessions and almost 30 contributions from all over the world (including Austria, Brazil, Czechia, France, Georgia, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, the United States), the conference provides a forum of exchange between scholars inspired by the idea of ‘renewability’ in music. The term ‘renewable music’ was coined in reference to ‘renewable resources’, aiming at focusing attention on the global sustainability crisis and encouraging dialogue on this subject in the contemporary music community.
