W trakcie Nocy Muzeów 2019 zapraszamy do Propagandy na finisaż wystawy Ewa i Jacek Doroszenko „How to Travel”. Wystawa stanowi audiowizualne studium sposobów, w jaki współczesna kultura zmienia nasze tęsknoty za idyllicznymi krajobrazami naturalnymi. „How to Travel” to narracja złożona z prac, które podejmują próbę odpowiedzi na zwodnicze pytanie – czym jest dokumentacja pejzażowa w XXI wieku?

O 20:00 rozpocznie się performans, w trakcie którego artyści wykonają specjalnie przygotowaną kompozycję dźwiękową, wykorzystującą instalacje znajdujące się w przestrzeni galerii Propaganda. Kontynuując dotychczasową drogę twórczą, artyści będą eksplorować możliwości jakie niosą fizyczne zakłócenia emisji dźwiękowych.

Ewa Doroszenko – w swojej twórczości wykorzystuje różnorodne media, m.in. wideo, instalację, fotografię, malarstwo. Doktor sztuk plastycznych, absolwentka Wydziału Sztuk Pięknych Uniwersytetu Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu. Stypendystka Ministra Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego (2019), laureatka wielu konkursów, m.in. DEBUTS 2018 (doc! photo magazine), Young Lynxes 2018 (Contemporary Lynx), Debut 2018 (Lithuanian Photographers Association) oraz beneficjentka licznych programów rezydencyjnych: Re_Act contemporary art laboratory na Azorach w Portugalii, Atelierhaus Salzamt Linz w Austrii, The Island – Resignified Lefkada w Grecji, Kunstnarhuset Messen Ålvik w Norwegii, Klaipeda Culture Communication Center na Litwie, Petrohradska Kolektiv Praga w Czechach, AAVC Hangar Barcelona w Hiszpanii. Jej prace publikowane były w magazynach takich jak Der Greif, Vice, NEO2, The Bosco Magazine, The Forumist, YET magazine, The Calvert Journal, Daily Serving, Metal, Flat Magazine, Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography.

Jacek Doroszenko – pracuje głównie w obszarze wideo, instalacji oraz dźwięku. Absolwent Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Krakowie. Beneficjent licznych programów rezydencyjnych, m.in. Atelierhaus Salzamt Linz w Austrii, The Island – Resignified Lefkada w Grecji, Petrohradska Kolektiv Praga w Czechach, Kunstnarhuset Messen Ålvik w Norwegii, Klaipeda Culture Communication Center na Litwie, AAVC Hangar Barcelona w Hiszpanii. NIGHT OF MUSEUMS 2019. FINISSAGE OF THE EXHIBITION AND SOUND PERFORMANCE BY EWA AND JACEK DOROSZENKO

During the Night of Museums 2019, we invite you to Propaganda gallery to the finissage of „How to Travel” exhibition by Ewa and Jacek Doroszenko. The exhibition is an audiovisual study of the ways in which contemporary culture influences our longing for idyllic natural landscapes. „How to Travel” is a narrative composed of works which approach the deceptive question – what means documentation of the landscape in the 21st century?

The performance starts at 8 PM. Using the installation located in the space of the Propaganda gallery, artists will perform a specially prepared sound composition. Following their current creative path, they will explore the possibilities which emerge from physical disruptions of the sound emission.

Ewa Doroszenko – in her work she uses a variety of media, including video, installation, photography, painting. Doctor of Fine Arts, graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. Scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2019), winner of many competitions, including DEBUTS 2018 (doc! photo magazine), Young Lynxes 2018 (Contemporary Lynx), Debut 2018 (Lithuanian Photographers Association) and a beneficiary of numerous residence programmes: Re_Act contemporary art laboratory in the Azores in Portugal, Atelierhaus Salzamt Linz in Austria, The Island – Resignified Lefkada in Greece, Kunstnarhuset Messen Ålvik in Norway, Klaipeda Culture Communication Center in Lithuania, Petrohradska Kolektiv Prague in Czech Republic, AAVC Hangar Barcelona in Spain. A beneficiary of numerous residence programmes, including Atelierhaus Salzamt Linz in Austria, The Island – Resignified Lefkada in Greece, Petrohradska Kolektiv Prague in the Czech Republic, Kunstnarhuset Messen Ålvik in Norway, Klaipeda Culture Communication Center in Lithuania, AAVC Hangar Barcelona in Spain.
